Still Standing! Treehouse Update

Well, it seems to be a longer project road than we anticipated getting our beloved Redmond Treehouse restored. We've unfortunately run into hard family times since our dear brother Brandon passed away ('04) and then wonderful Mother, Diana Rondel ('15). Our family took multiple hits with unfortunate accidents to multiple cancers and hasn't been able to get it together. We have big dreams for the space and wish we can do more for it and haven't given up the fight!
We've been able to install a few 6"x6"x beams to support the structure that's nearly resting as a pillared deck for the structure, but it's starting to lean with the weight of the trees pressing against it and will need more support.
The raccoon tenants are relentless and don't want to move out. After more than we'd like to admit poo clean-out parties, they have claimed the penthouse tree suite over and over again. As kind landlords, we've tried natural deterrents and they just don't care and won't leave until we block them out completely. We get it - it's a pretty sweet raccoon suite. We really need complete enclosure - which we can't wait for the day - but a bit costly to complete. It's currently unsafe for guests and requires a lot of fixes.
We're actively working ways to get it restored! From helping it become an easement way to protect the wetland and stream, and forrest space to building a landmark to inspire and enjoy. Redmond Treehouse is still fighting to stand tall and we look forward to the day it's sustainably standing strong. Contact us to help!
